Design
On the reverse side of the coin the design shows a Tuskegee Airman pilot suiting up to fight in WWII. Moton field and two fighter jets are shown in the background. The Tuskegee Airmen were the men and women of different nationalities that fought as pilots and support staff during WWII.
The phrase "THEY FOUGHT TWO WARS" is inscribed on the coin. This phrase refers to the fact that the Tuskegee Airmen fought against enemies abroad and racism at home.
The Tuskegee Airmen National Historic Site is located in Alabama. This site preserves the area where the Tuskegee Airmen were trained and it also includes a museum.
