2016 Fort Moultrie Quarter

Design

On the reverse side of the coin the design shows the hero of Fort Moultire, American Sergeant William Jasper, returning his regiment's flag while under attack from a British war ship. America won this battle that was fought in 1776 at the start of the Revolutionary War.

Fort Sumter and Fort Moultrie National Historical Park is located in coastal South Carolina. This park preserves Fort Sumter, Fourt Moultrie, and the Charleston Lighthouse.

The US minted different series of the Fort Moultrie quarter. There is the 2016 P quarter, 2016 D quarter, 2016 S quarter, 2016 S proof quarter and 2016 S silver proof quarter.

The standard 2016 Fort Moultrie clad quarters in circulated condition are only worth their face value of $0.25. These coins only sell for a premium in uncirculated condition.

Both the 2016 P Fort Moultrie quarter and 2016 D Fort Moultrie quarter are each worth around $0.75 in uncirculated condition with an MS 63 grade. Uncirculated coins with a grade of MS 65 can sell for around $1.

The 2016 S Fort Moultrie quarter is worth around $2 in MS 63 uncirculated condition. The value is around $3 in MS 65 uncirculated condition.

The 2016 S proof Fort Moultrie quarter is worth around $4.50 in PR 66DC condition. The value is around $15 in PR 69DC condition.

Silver Proof Quarter
