On the reverse side of the coin the design shows a log cabin in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Outside the cabin there is a hawk flying above a forest.

Great Smoky Mountains National Park is located in North Carolina and Tennessee. It's the most visited national park in America with over 11 million annual visitors. The entire park covers 522,419 acres.

These coins are part of the America the Beautiful quarters program.

The US minted different series of the Great Smoky Mountains quarter. There is the 2014 P quarter, 2014 D quarter, 2014 S quarter, 2014 S proof quarter and 2014 S silver proof quarter.

Proof coins are essentially coins that have more detail. They are minted on special planchets and it takes longer to produce them. They are specifically made for collectors so you won't find any in your spare change.

Clad Quarters

The standard 2014 Great Smoky Mountains clad quarters in circulated condition are only worth their face value of $0.25. These coins only sell for a premium in uncirculated condition.

Both the 2014 P Great Smoky Mountains quarter and 2014 D Great Smoky Mountains quarter are each worth around $0.50 in uncirculated condition with an MS 63 grade. Uncirculated coins with a grade of MS 65 can sell for around $1.

The 2014 S Great Smoky Mountains quarter is worth around $2 in MS 63 uncirculated condition. The value is around $8 in MS 65 uncirculated condition.

The 2014 S proof Great Smoky Mountains quarter is worth around $4.50 in PR 66DC condition. The value is around $15 in PR 69DC condition.

Silver Proof Quarter
