What Is a Quad Double Serial Number?
A quad double serial number contains four sets of double digit pairs. For example, 11442288 or 57344537. These numbers are moderately rare and they can sell for a premium above face value.
Note: Quad double serial numbers should not be confused with double quad serial numbers. Double quad serial numbers have the same first four digits and the same last four digits. For example, 22228888. Double quad serial numbers are more rare and more valuable.
Value
The values listed below relate to low-denomination bills. Higher denomination bills demand less of a premium because in most cases it would make more sense to spend or deposit the bill.
Most quad double serial number bills in circulated condition will only be worth their face value. Bills in uncirculated condition can sell for a premium.
