This online tool determines the amount of .999 Fine Gold contained within a given quantity of United States Gold Coins. It also calculates the value of the Fine Gold from the spot price that you enter.

The calculator uses the known weight of the coin when minted. Circulated coins wear and lose a little weight, so the calculation is a very close aproximation only. The values given only reflect the gross gold melt value and not the rarity or numismatic value.
